Salary: $80,000 per annum plus 12% Superannuation

Hours: 38 hours per week

We are currently seeking a Transport Company Manager to oversee our daily operations, drive service excellence, and ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and profitably.

• Manage the planning, coordination, and supervision of daily courier and freight transport activities, ensuring all deliveries are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and servicing of vehicles, equipment, and fuel to maintain optimal fleet performance and minimise downtime.
• Liaise closely with clients to assess transport requirements, provide professional advice on delivery options and service rates, and ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Develop and manage transport schedules, delivery routes, and driver assignments to maximise productivity, fuel efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Ensure all goods are handled, loaded, stored, and transported in accordance with company standards and client-specific quality and safety requirements.
• Supervise the collection of goods, coordinating with warehouse and dispatch teams to guarantee smooth operations and accurate tracking.
• Maintain accurate operational and compliance records, including driver logs, vehicle maintenance schedules, and delivery documentation, while preparing management and performance reports for review.
• Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety, road transport, and regulatory requirements across all logistics operations.
• Lead, train, and motivate drivers and logistics staff, promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous operational improvement.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Business Management (preferred but not mandatory).

Other Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management, preferably within a courier or freight environment.
• Strong organisational and scheduling skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent client service and problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge of OHS regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong reporting, record-keeping, and communication skills.
