Salary: $76,515 to $90,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation

The Minoru Farm (Stranger) is seeking applicants for an Animal Husbandry Technician (Sheep Farm Technician) for full time position to join their team in New South Wales.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the care and management of sheep in line with livestock production requirements
- Feed, water, and monitor sheep to ensure optimal health, growth, and productivity
- Observe animals daily and report signs of disease, injury, or distress to the farm supervisor
- Assist with lambing, including monitoring pregnant ewes and caring for newborn lambs
- Mustering, drafting, and moving sheep between paddocks using low-stress handling techniques
- Assist in routine animal husbandry procedures such as tagging, marking, weighing, and crutching preparation
- Administer drenches, vaccinations, and basic treatments under supervision
- Assist during shearing operations, including handling sheep before and after shearing
- Maintain fences, yards, water supply systems, and general farm infrastructure
- Support pasture monitoring and basic feed management for livestock
- Operate basic farm machinery and equipment where required and under supervision
- Maintain accurate records relating to livestock numbers, treatments, breeding, and movements
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and biosecurity requirements at all times
- Perform general farm duties as directed by the farm manager or supervisor
Criteria:
- At least a Diploma or 3 years of relevant working experience
- Patient, Hardworking, Resourceful, Trustworthy, Loyal, Efficient
- Experience in sheep or livestock handling in a farm environment
- Understanding of basic animal husbandry practices
- Strong observation and reporting skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Commitment to animal welfare, safety, and biosecurity standards
A remuneration package between $76,515 to $90,000 plus superannuation will be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
