Our Client The Trustee for WE LOVE OUR LOCAL UNIT TRUST T/A BIRDCAGE ALTONA CAFE is seeking an experienced Cook to join their team located in Altona VIC 3018.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items including burgers, mini pizzas, chicken skewers, and taco salads in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Assist in preparing food items such as arancini balls, sausage rolls, calamari rings, and house-made condiments.
- Perform food preparation tasks including marinating, cutting, and portioning meats and vegetables.
- Ensure all dishes are consistently presented to a high standard of quality, taste, and appearance.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and stovetops during service.
- Prepare a range of dishes including chicken quesadillas, Middle Eastern cuisine, and fresh salads with dressings.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and minimise food wastage.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations.
Qualifications
- Cert III in commercial Cookery and Minimum 2 years of experience is required.
