Position: Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician
Salary: $55 to $60 per hour plus 12% Superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week

About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced NDT Technician to join our team for a combination of workshop and site-based work across Western Australia. The ideal candidate will be proficient in multiple non-destructive testing methods.
This hands-on role offers diverse project exposure across various sites and strong support for professional development and career advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) using a range of techniques including MT, PT, UT, ET and VT across lifting, rigging and structural components
- Perform testing of materials, components and assemblies to determine integrity, quality and compliance with engineering specifications
- Apply testing procedures, standards and methodologies in accordance with Australian Standards, DNV and NATA requirements
- Operate and maintain specialised testing equipment and instruments used in the evaluation of metals and engineered materials
- Analyse and interpret test results to identify defects, material inconsistencies and compliance issues
- Prepare detailed technical reports documenting testing methods, results, and recommendations
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of inspection and testing procedures
- Work across workshop and site environments, supporting engineering, fabrication and inspection teams
- Maintain high safety, quality and compliance standards across all activities
- Qualification in Engineering, Materials, NDT or related field (Diploma or equivalent preferred)
- NDT certification (MT2, PT2 minimum; UT/ET/VT highly regarded)
- Demonstrated experience in materials testing, inspection and evaluation within industrial, mining, or engineering environments
- Strong understanding of materials properties (metals, welds, fabricated components) and defect identification
- Experience applying testing standards, procedures and quality systems (e.g. NATA, DNV, Australian Standards)
- Ability to interpret technical data and produce structured inspection/test reports
- Current Driver's Licence
- Ability to work across workshop and remote site environments
- Strong communication and technical reporting skills
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Engineering / Materials / NDT
- Experience in materials laboratory or field-based testing environments
- Exposure to quality assurance, failure analysis or materials performance assessment
- NATA-accredited environment experience
- Experience with lifting, rigging or structural inspection.
