Position: Production Manager (Manufacturing)
Salary Range: $76,515 to $90,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week
Mode: Full-time
Location: Montville, QLD

Chocolate Country, operated by Company Country Montville Pty Ltd, is a boutique chocolate manufacturer based in Montville, Queensland. The business produces premium handcrafted chocolates for retail and wholesale markets, with a focus on quality, innovation, and efficient production processes.
Position Summary:
The Production Manager (Manufacturing) is responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing all chocolate production activities. The role ensures efficient operations, consistent product quality, compliance with food safety standards, and effective team management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise, and control production schedules to meet demand
- Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality
- Supervise and manage production staff, including rostering and performance
- Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP)
- Manage raw materials, inventory levels, and supplier coordination
- Analyse production performance and implement process improvements
- Control production costs and minimise waste
- Ensure maintenance of equipment and safe work practices (WHS)
- Liaise with management, suppliers, and internal teams
- Production & Operations
- Coordinate daily manufacturing activities and optimise workflow
- Ensure efficient use of labour, materials, and equipment
- Quality & Compliance
- Maintain food safety and quality assurance standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements
- Staff Management
- Lead, train, and supervise production staff
- Foster a safe and productive work environment
- Cost & Efficiency
- Monitor production costs and improve operational efficiency
- Reduce waste and enhance productivity
- Inventory & Supply
- Manage stock levels and raw material supply
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Manufacturing, Engineering, Food Technology, Business or related field Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in food or confectionery production highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and production planning
- Understanding of food safety standards (HACCP)
- Leadership and team management capability
- Problem-solving and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production systems
