Position: Chef / Cook - Full Time
Salary: $76,515 to $81,000 plus 12% superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week
Mode: Full-time
Location: Everton Park, Brisbane

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef / Cook to join the kitchen team on a full-time basis. Depending on skills, qualifications, and experience, the successful applicant may be appointed as either Chef or Cook.

Duties and Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations
  • Prepare, season and cook a range of dishes to a high standard.
  • Ensure timely preparation and service during lunch, dinner and peak periods.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, portion control and presentation.
  • Monitor quality of raw ingredients and finished meals.
  • Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers and other cooking equipment.
Menu & Food Preparation
  • Assist in planning menus and specials.
  • Contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal items.
  • Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, desserts and accompaniments.
  • Manage stock rotation and minimise wastage.
Hygiene & Compliance
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Follow food safety regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling and labelling of food products.
  • Team Support / Supervision (Chef level where applicable)
Supervise junior kitchen staff and kitchen hands.
  • Lead Menu Planning
  • Assist with rostering and training staff.
  • Coordinate kitchen workflow during service.
  • Assist in ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
  • Requirements
For Cook Position
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification/work experience.
  • At least 1 year relevant experience.
For Chef Position
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification/work experience.
  • At least 1 year relevant experience in a supervisory or commercial kitchen role preferred.
General Requirements
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to quality service.
Employment Conditions
  • Full-time position.
  • Minimum 38 hours per week.
  • Annual salary between AUD 76,515 - AUD 81,000 plus superannuation, depending on role and experience
