Our Client Doreen Eatery Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Chef to join their team located in Doreen VIC 3754. This role involves preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes while ensuring high standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene.
Tasks required include:
- Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and quality standards.
- Plan menus, estimate food requirements and monitor ingredient availability.
- Ensure food is prepared and cooked in compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Monitor food quality, portion sizes, presentation and consistency.
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily kitchen operations.
- Manage food stock, inspect deliveries and minimise wastage.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure the kitchen is clean and organised.
- Assist with menu development, recipe costing and controlling food costs.
- Coordinate food preparation and service to ensure timely delivery of meals.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Cert IV in Cookery and 3 years of experience
