About the role
We're looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our talented culinary team at 360q' in Queenscliff, Victoria. As a Chef de Partie, you'll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a vibrant coastal setting.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a wide range of high-quality dishes to our exacting standards
- Ensuring consistent food quality, presentation and timely service
- Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the overall management of the kitchen
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
- Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff
- Contributing to the development of new menu items and culinary innovations
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment
- Strong expertise in a variety of cooking techniques and food preparation
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills to handle the demands of a busy kitchen
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen brigade
- Passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes and a desire to continuously develop your culinary skills
- Australian work authorisation is required for this position
- Demonstrated experience in Modern Australian cuisine is essential
