Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
As a Cook at Relish on Main, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Inspect food ingredients and supplies to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with food safety standards
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking equipment to ensure optimal cooking conditions
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, including burgers, pizzas, seafood, schnitzels, salads, wraps, pancakes, and waffles
- Assist in preparing dessert items such as crepes, brownies, and sundaes in coordination with the dessert section
- Season, portion, and present meals with appropriate garnishes, sauces, and accompaniments while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
- Store food in temperature-controlled facilities and ensure proper stock rotation to minimise wastage Prepare meals in accordance with special dietary requirements where required
- Support menu planning and assist in estimating food and ingredient requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations in line with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining high standards of food quality
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff and apprentices
- Minimise food wastage through proper preparation, portioning, and storage techniques
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or a related relevant qualification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar Cook role within a full-service restaurant
- Experience working in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment
- Ability to prepare a wide variety of dishes across multiple cuisines/styles
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations
- Good time management and ability to work under pressure
- Team player with a positive attitude
