Our Client KHALSA SWEETS & SNACKS PTY LTD T/A KHALSA SWEETS & RESTAURANT is seeking an experienced Cook to join their team located in Epping VIC 3076.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of Indian sweets, snacks, and vegetarian dishes while ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
- Season, marinate, and cook food items in line with established recipes to maintain high standards of flavour, texture, and appearance.
- Monitor and control cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers to ensure proper temperatures and efficient food preparation.
- Support the Chef in preparing popular and high-demand menu items, including traditional sweets, street food, and Punjabi-style curries.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety standards, including effective stock rotation practices.
- Maintain strict compliance with hygiene, food safety, and workplace health and safety regulations at all times in the kitchen.
- Assist with plating, portioning, and timely preparation of dishes during busy service periods while maintaining presentation standards.
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and minimum 1 year of experience is required.
