Our Client KHALSA SWEETS & SNACKS PTY LTD T/A KHALSA SWEETS & RESTAURANT is seeking an experienced Cook to join their team located in Epping VIC 3076. This role involves preparing and cooking authentic Indian sweets, snacks, and vegetarian dishes while maintaining quality, hygiene, and food safety standards.

• Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of Indian sweets, snacks, and vegetarian dishes while ensuring consistency in taste, quality and presentation.
• Season, marinate, and cook food items in line with established recipes to maintain high standards of flavour, texture, and appearance.
• Monitor and control cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers to ensure proper temperatures and efficient food preparation.
• Support the Chef in preparing popular and high-demand menu items, including traditional sweets, street food and Punjabi-style curries.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety standards, including effective stock rotation practices.
• Maintain strict compliance with hygiene, food safety, and workplace health and safety regulations at all times in the kitchen.
• Assist with plating, portioning, and timely preparation of dishes during busy service periods while maintaining presentation standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Certificate III and at least 2 years of relevant experience is required.
