About Sigma Power Services:
Sigma Power Services Pty Ltd is a Western Australian-based electrical services provider and part of the Tasmea group, specialising in the testing and commissioning of high-voltage electrical assets. Our core expertise includes protection, control, and automation systems across transmission, distribution, and industrial networks.

Partnering with major utilities, infrastructure operators, and private clients across Australia, we deliver technically sound, safe, and reliable solutions. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a licensed Electrician to join our dynamic team and support a variety of exciting projects across the region.

Role Overview:
This is genuine hands-on trade role, not routine call-out work. You'll be installing, testing, connecting, commissioning and maintaining electrical equipment, wiring and control systems that keep major industrial and infrastructure sites running, reading blueprints and wiring diagrams, fault-finding with proper test instruments, and getting switchboards and circuits right the first time. If you're a licensed electrician who wants your trade taken seriously and backed by real technical projects rather than repetitive domestic work, this role gives you that. This role will involve site-based travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, test, connect, commission, maintain and modify electrical equipment, wiring and control systems
  • Examine blueprints, wiring diagrams, codes and specifications to determine load requirements, sequence and methods of installation
  • Measure and lay out installation reference points
  • Select, cut, connect and install wire and cable to terminals and connectors
  • Use electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults
  • Repair and replace faulty wiring and defective parts
  • Position and install single and three-phase electrical switchboards
  • Connect electrical systems to power supply and test continuity of circuit
  • Comply with HSE policies and maintain high safety standards on all sites
  • Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience as a licensed Electrician across industrial, commercial or infrastructure environments
  • Sound fault-finding and diagnostic skills using standard test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings
Requirements
  • Relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (or equivalent), with a minimum of two years' relevant experience — or at least three years of highly relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications
  • Valid WA Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain)
  • White Card and applicable site tickets (or willingness to obtain)
  • Willingness to travel for site-based work as required
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working on industrial or utility-scale sites
  • Previous experience working with utilities or power system operators
  • Exposure to diverse and technically challenging projects across Australia.
