Salary: $76000 to $82000 per annum plus applicable superannuation

Experience required: Minimum 1 year experience in relevant role.

Business is a West Australian Road Transport company who specialises in general freight transport. Business is dedicated to putting their workers first, providing a safe work environment with job security.

In this role, Business is looking for experienced HR Drivers to join their team to carry out pickups and deliveries within the Perth and surrounding areas. Applicants may need to travel regional parts of West Australia but not interstate.

This role is suited to someone who holds relevant Driving License with sound geographical knowledge and who takes pride in their work.

• Have demonstrated experience in load restraint of general freight, pickups and deliveries.
• Have previous experience completing daily vehicle pre-start checks and driver fitness
• Hold a current minimum HR license with proven experience
• Be efficient in completing the necessary delivery paperwork including run sheets and work diaries.
• Have ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Have at least AQF II or higher in relevant qualification.
• 1 year of work experience can be used in the lieu of the qualification.

Key responsibilities:

 Positioning vehicles accurately and safely for efficient loading and unloading operations.

 Operating lifting and tipping equipment to load and unload goods in accordance with handling procedures.

 Following all occupational health and safety regulations during the loading and unloading.

 Conducting routine inspections and quality checks to ensure vehicles remain in a safe and roadworthy condition.

 Calculating load weights to ensure they comply with legal limits and distributing weight evenly to maintain vehicle stability.

 Securing and covering cargo appropriately to prevent damage, displacement, or loss during transit.

 Reviewing and confirming loading documentation, inspecting the condition of goods, and obtaining delivery acknowledgements or certifications.
