Technosoft Australia Pty Ltd is a Melbourne-based technology and digital solutions company providing custom software development, web and app development, digital marketing, SEO, and IT services to clients across Australia. The business works with organisations spanning healthcare, construction, logistics, legal, education, migration, and trade services. Technosoft is currently developing Arthkaira (www.arthkaira.com.au), a platform delivering digital automation tools specifically designed for Australian migration and education businesses, which represents a significant commercial expansion for the company.
Position Summary
The ICT Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for Technosoft's ICT products and services, managing key client accounts, representing the company at client meetings, and working closely with the technical team to ensure that client needs are understood and met. The role carries particular importance at this time as Technosoft prepares to launch Arthkaira and expands its digital automation service offerings to new market segments. The incumbent will also play a direct role in bringing the existing ICT Sales Professional up to speed with the company's service portfolio, client engagement processes, and business development methodology.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and generate new business opportunities for Technosoft's ICT products and services, with a particular focus on the migration and education sectors targeted by the Arthkaira platform
- Compile and maintain lists of prospective client businesses using trade directories, industry networks, online research, and referral channels
- Acquire and maintain current knowledge of Technosoft's service offerings, competitive landscape, and prevailing market conditions in the Australian ICT sector
- Visit and engage with regular and prospective client businesses to establish relationships, identify requirements, and present suitable solutions
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and tenders in response to identified client requirements
- Quote and negotiate pricing, service terms, and contract conditions with prospective clients in line with company guidelines
- Record all sales activity, pipeline progress, and outcomes in the company's CRM system and report to the Director on a regular basis Client Account Management
- Manage and maintain productive relationships with existing client accounts, ensuring satisfaction with services delivered and identifying further opportunities within those accounts
- Attend and lead client meetings on behalf of Technosoft, including urgent project briefings and stakeholder reviews related to the company's active and upcoming digital projects
- Coordinate with internal project teams, developers, and designers to ensure client expectations are clearly communicated and met throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Follow up with clients after project delivery to confirm satisfaction, identify any issues, and arrange appropriate resolutions or modifications
- Prepare and submit regular client account reports and business expense records to management Staff Training and Capability Development
- Work directly with the existing ICT Sales Professional to transfer knowledge, share best practice, and build their capability in business development, client engagement, and account management processes specific to Technosoft's operations
- Develop and deliver structured training sessions covering Technosoft's service portfolio, sales methodology, client communication standards, and CRM usage
- Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring to the ICT Sales Professional during client meetings, proposal preparation, and account management activities
- Contribute to the development of internal process documentation, sales scripts, and training materials that can be used to onboard future staff
- Report on staff training progress to the Director and identify any areas where further development support is required AI Projects and Arthkaira Platform
- Take a lead role in attending and conducting client meetings related to Technosoft's upcoming digital automation projects, including the Arthkaira platform (www.arthkaira.com.au)
- Develop a thorough understanding of Arthkaira's product offering, target market, and value proposition in order to represent the platform credibly to prospective clients in the migration and education sectors
- Assist in generating early access interest and commercial pipeline for Arthkaira by engaging with migration agents, registered training organisations, and education providers
- Liaise with the technical development team to relay client feedback, market requirements, and feature requests relevant to the Arthkaira build
- Support the Director in strategic planning for the commercial launch and growth of the Arthkaira platform Reporting and Administration
- Prepare weekly sales reports summarising activity, pipeline status, and outcomes for review by the Director
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions, proposals submitted, contracts executed, and sales results
- Monitor and report on market trends and competitor activity in the Australian ICT, digital marketing, and automation services sectors
- Represent Technosoft at industry events, networking functions, and relevant professional forums where appropriate
- Bachelor degree or higher in Information Technology, Business, Commerce, or a related field, OR at least five years of demonstrated experience in ICT sales or business development in lieu of formal qualification
- Demonstrated experience identifying and developing new business opportunities in the ICT or digital services sector
- Proven ability to manage client relationships, prepare proposals, and close sales in a professional services environment
- Experience attending and conducting professional client meetings with executive and business owner audiences
- Strong understanding of ICT products and services, including web development, digital marketing, software, and automation solutions
- Experience in or working knowledge of the Australian migration or education sectors is highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, or coaching junior staff in a sales or client-facing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high standard of professional presentation
- High level of organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
