Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers is looking for a Lab In-Charge for Process & Operations is responsible for managing the laboratory operations in the Ammonia and Urea Granulation Fertilizers Plant. This role is key in overseeing efficient laboratory operations, ensuring quality control and optimization efforts within the plant's operations, maintaining laboratory equipment, inventory & developing testing procedures (SOPs). The incumbent will supervise the laboratory team and collaborate closely with the production and engineering teams to maintain the highest standards of product quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

With a commitment to innovation and efficiency, PCF is developing Project Ceres, which is Australia's largest urea manufacturing plant, located in Karratha, Western Australia.
Education/ Experience Requirements:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field.
- 12 - 16 years of experience in laboratory operations in a chemical manufacturing or fertilizer production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Fair knowledge of the chemical processes in ammonia synthesis, urea granulation, and related chemical operations.
- Strong understanding of analytical chemistry, process control, and quality management systems.
- Significant experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the fertilizer or organic industry, with a focus on quality control and operations.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment and software used for data analysis and reporting.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with ISO standards, environmental regulations, and occupational safety protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
