Position: Mechanical Fitters
Salary: $50 to $55 per hour plus 12% superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week
Mode: Full-time
Location: Perth, WA
Technical Lubrication Services (TLS) is seeking qualified Mechanical Fitters (General) to support maintenance and shutdown activities across major mining operations (FIFO).
This role involves maintaining and repairing mechanical plant and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation of fixed plant assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and identify worn or damaged mechanical components and equipment
- Repair, maintain and replace mechanical components including pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors and associated plant equipment
- Perform mechanical fitting, assembly and disassembly of fixed plant machinery
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance in line with operational requirements
- Carry out modifications and adjustments to mechanical systems where required
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems and associated components
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals
- Perform machining and fitting tasks where required
- Undertake shutdown and breakdown maintenance activities across mining operations
- Ensure all work is completed to site safety and operational standards
Skills & Experience
- - Relevant trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent trade)
- Minimum 2-3 years' post-trade experience maintaining and repairing mechanical plant and equipment
- Demonstrated experience in mining, resources, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Welding and machining experience (desirable)

Requirements
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to work FIFO shutdown and maintenance rosters
- Relevant site certifications (Working at Heights, Confined Space, Gas Testing etc.)
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
