About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our growing team. This role involves fabricating, assembling, repairing, and installing structural steel and metal components used across civil construction, infrastructure, precast, and rail projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, weld, and install structural steel and metal components from technical drawings and specifications.
- Cut, shape, bend, and weld steel and other metals using appropriate fabrication equipment and techniques.
- Carry out repairs and modifications to steel structures, plant, and construction equipment as required.
- Interpret engineering drawings and ensure all work complies with Australian Standards and project specifications.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety requirements.
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all WHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Metal Fabrication) or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in structural steel fabrication, welding, and metalwork within the civil or construction industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to work across various project sites and travel as required.
