Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum plus 12% Superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week

Location: Colac, VIC

Colac Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will assist with a broad range of procedures, including complex and cosmetic treatments. You will play a vital role in supporting efficient clinical workflows while delivering outstanding patient care. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38-40 hours per week, based in Colac, VIC.

Main tasks: - Provide chairside assistance during a wide range of general dental procedures, including: Dental implants, general and cosmetic dentistry etc.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms in accordance with Australian infection control standards
  • Perform instrument reprocessing and sterilisation in compliance with current guidelines
  • Ensure patient comfort and support throughout procedures
  • Manage instruments, materials, and stock control
  • Assist with digital scanning, 3-D printing, and dental software systems
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe clinical environment
  • Contribute positively to team workflow and patient experience
  • May advise patients on dental health education and post-operative care and procedures
  • Using suction devices and water sprays during procedures
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:
  • Minimum of a Certificate II or III
  • At least 1 year of relevant industry experience
Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Professional presentation and strong work ethic
  • Availability to work weekends and after-hours shifts
  • Experience assisting with dental implants and surgical procedures (desirable)
  • Experience with digital scanning, 3-D printing, and dental practice management software (desirable)
  • Experience in cosmetic dentistry (desirable)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting (desirable)
Annual salary will be between $65,000.00 to $80,000 (plus superannuation), depending on level of experience.
