Position: Dental Assistant
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum plus 12% Superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week

Location: Colac, VIC
Colac Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will assist with a broad range of procedures, including complex and cosmetic treatments. You will play a vital role in supporting efficient clinical workflows while delivering outstanding patient care. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38-40 hours per week, based in Colac, VIC.
Main tasks: - Provide chairside assistance during a wide range of general dental procedures, including: Dental implants, general and cosmetic dentistry etc.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms in accordance with Australian infection control standards
- Perform instrument reprocessing and sterilisation in compliance with current guidelines
- Ensure patient comfort and support throughout procedures
- Manage instruments, materials, and stock control
- Assist with digital scanning, 3-D printing, and dental software systems
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe clinical environment
- Contribute positively to team workflow and patient experience
- May advise patients on dental health education and post-operative care and procedures
- Using suction devices and water sprays during procedures
- Minimum of a Certificate II or III
- At least 1 year of relevant industry experience
Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Professional presentation and strong work ethic
- Availability to work weekends and after-hours shifts
- Experience assisting with dental implants and surgical procedures (desirable)
- Experience with digital scanning, 3-D printing, and dental practice management software (desirable)
- Experience in cosmetic dentistry (desirable)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting (desirable)
Annual salary will be between $65,000.00 to $80,000 (plus superannuation), depending on level of experience.
