Salary: $77,000 to $85,000 + 12% Superannuation

Basis of Employment: Full-time (38 hours per week)

JR IT Solutions Pty Ltd is a dynamic and growing IT services company based in New South Wales, specialising in software development, IT solutions, and digital transformation services. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate must have at least 1 year of relevant full-time work experience in software development and demonstrate strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. The candidate should be innovative, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications in line with business requirements.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Analyse user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams including developers, project managers, and stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
• Ensure software performance, security, and responsiveness.
• Assist in system architecture design and implementation.
• Maintain technical documentation and system reports.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them where relevant.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and company standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Skills and Other Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of full-time relevant experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
• Develop and maintain Mainframe applications using Micro Focus COBOL.
• Build and optimize data pipelines with DBT and Snowflake.
• Work with Oracle, DB2, and SQL for database development and tuning.
• Automate and manage scripts in Unix/Linux environments.
• Collaborate on cloud integrations with AWS services.
• Support system modernization and migration projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
