Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers is looking for a Urea Shift In-Charge, responsible for overseeing and coordinate the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the urea plant during assigned shifts. The Shift In-Charge is responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining plant integrity, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards, and leading shift personnel in accordance with standard operating procedures and organisational policies. This role plays a critical part in optimising plant performance, minimising unplanned downtime, and driving operational excellence across the production unit.

With a commitment to innovation and efficiency, PCF is developing Project Ceres, which is Australia's largest urea manufacturing plant, located in Karratha, Western Australia.
Education/ Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, or equivalent, Additional certifications in safety or process operations (preferred)
- Familiar/experienced with Saipem Snamprogetti is an added advantage.
- 12-16 years of experience in urea plant operations (preferably with large-scale or integrated chemical complexes). At least 5-7 years in a supervisory or shift leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of urea & ammonia production processes (e.g., steam methane/AT reforming, air separation, synthesis loop). Familiarity with DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and plant automation tools.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Good understanding of P&IDs, SOPs, Interlock/Logic diagrams, PTW systems, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with focus on safety and efficiency.
